I love this. I love the original by the Pixies too. But in this version by Trampled by Turtles its the banjo that I love. God I need to learn how to play that instrument. Remember this post? I best get on with that!
School finishes today for half term - Hurrah!
10 days of my boys at home! Whoop.
What are your plans this weekend? We are shoe shopping (for Rufus, not me sadly), bike riding and DIY (again!).
Whatever you have planned have a lovely one.

ReplyDeleteLove this. A long time ago I fell asleep at a Pixes concert. I was just so tired! My older children can not get over it!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous re half term - we have another week to go.
Hi Lou, love your blog! Tomorrow have a boring opticians appointment - boo, but on Sunday I'm off to pick up a lovely old cabinet that I just won on eBay to go in our bathroom! I've nominated your blog for a little award over on mine - all the rules are there, should you choose to accept. Have fun shoe-shopping! Rebecca
ReplyDeleteThat Pixies song will forever be my anthem for motherhood: as you are chasing down your littles to get their shoes one, as you almost drive away in your minivan without them, when you say Yes! when you really mean a resounding "No!" and when all you want to do is lock yourself in your closet with a bottle of wine and a pint of chocolate ice cream. so glad to have found your blog. lovely! xxoo
ReplyDeleteI love this song, and what a great cover version. I had never heard of Trampled by Turtles, so thanks for introducing them! laura x
